Supporting People To Live In Their Own Homes

With years of experience, our organization has been dedicated to assisting individuals with learning disabilities to achieve independent living. When we talk about supported living, we mean providing person-centred and personalized support that focuses on individuals' needs and goals, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

Supported living, as we offer it, is specifically designed for adults with learning disabilities and other support requirements. It allows individuals to reside in their own homes and actively participate in their communities.

In our supported living model, the individual we support holds the tenancy and assumes responsibility for household expenses. We provide assistance in various settings, such as shared homes, schemes with individual flats, or even outreach support to a family home.

What we provide is not merely accommodation; it's a place they can truly call their own—a home where they will receive the necessary support to thrive. It's about promoting independence, personal growth, and overall well-being.

Tailoring support to suit each individual is our core principle. We prioritize building support around the unique needs and preferences of the people we work with, rather than trying to fit them into a predetermined "service" mould.

During the assessment and support planning process, we take the time to understand each person's abilities and areas where they require assistance. We collaborate with them to determine how they would like to engage with their community and what activities they enjoy.

Our co-production approach ensures that the individuals we support have the freedom to make choices and maintain control over their lives. They have the opportunity to define what success and a fulfilling life mean to them. This may include:

  • Developing life skills and managing household tasks

  • Making healthier choices related to personal care and nutrition

  • Receiving support in managing finances

  • Pursuing educational opportunities, employment, or volunteering

  • Participating in day programs and engaging with community services

The level of support provided is tailored to meet each person's specific needs, ranging from a few hours per week to around-the-clock assistance.

Together, we can make your vision a reality. If you would like to learn more about our supported living services for your family member, please don't hesitate to contact us.
